What does clearing Teams cache do?
Teams Cached files and folders provide quick access to required data as businesses use MS Teams for their employees to communicate and collaborate on projects. As these cached files grow in size over time, they become too big and this may also affect performance plus risk of data corruption increases due to sluggishness. The bigger the files and folders get, the more storage space they consume on the local drive.
What clearing Teams cache does is that cached files are always refreshed each time the older ones are deleted and new ones are rebuilt and this restores the fast access speeds that cached files and folders offer. Clearing Teams cache resolves issues that Teams may be experiencing.
Another welcome result of clearing Teams cache files is that storage space on the local drive is freed and made available for other purposes.
